![]() I hope you enjoy it and I'd love to see anything you make with any of my patterns/tutorials. I have had several people ask for the pattern, so I decided to make one up and share. I liked the X block, but LOVED the way the quilt changed when I mixed up the colors in the block to make a completely different X stand out on this quilt. ![]() The pattern is one I came up with while messing around trying to find a very simple paper pieced block. Truly, you need to see this fabric in person to really appreciate how awesome it is. This quilt was made with the amazingly gorgeous Oakshott Lipari bundle. I loved the striking design made with the fabric so much that I really didn't want to mess or muck it up with a lot of complicated quilting. 4241 (black) and just echoed some of the lines of the star. ![]() Or make it a scrappy quilt by cutting your own 5 1/2 squares. A FQ of each fabric should be plenty After your units are paper pieced, sew the four triangle units to either. Grab a charm pack and some background fabric and you can sew up the Charm Square Blossoms quilt top in a day. When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try an X's and O's Block You will need to print out two copies of the template A page, and one copy of template pages B & C per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A charm pack of fabric is a bundle of 42 squares, each 5 x 5. I cannot believe that it was almost 2 years ago when I first shared this quilt top with you! Why did I let it take so long to finish it up? At least this time it wasn't folded up in a storage bin, but instead it has been hanging (all fancy like with painter's tape) in my sewing room :) The large easy pinwheel quilt blocks make this a quick sew and perfect beginner quilting pattern.
